More great news if you’re trying to maintain weight loss:

Where exercise is concerned, you get points for trying!

What that means is you don’t have to be the fastest runner, the heaviest lifter, or the best yogi.

You get points just for getting out there and doing it.

Maybe your other option was to sit on the couch, so just the fact that you got out there and moved your body puts you ahead in the fitness game!

Listen: I’m a terrible runner – I’m slow, and I whine, but I do it anyway because running burns a whole heck of a lot more calories than sitting on my couch. And boy, don’t even get me started on how bad I am at Zumba – I flail and flop and I’m likely to stumble into people near me. Luckily I’m not going out for the Zumba Olympic team!

All that flailing and stumbling burns more calories than watching TV!

When I don’t feel like exercising, I do it anyway, because I know that I don’t need to mean it, I just need to do it.

If I don’t give 110% every single time…

So what?!?

I’m doing it, the calories get burned and my body gets the benefit of it whether I’m super into it or whether I spend the entire workout wishing I could be doing something else.

And that’s how to get that exercise done.

But doing it whether you are good at it or not and whether you’re super into it today or not, either way, your body gives you points for trying.

So get out there and move it!
