These 5 keys are the result of 10 years of experience with Personal Training, and 5 years of owning and operating a fitness business. I’ve coached and trained hundreds of individuals and been part of many transformations.
Some breakthrough, others do not.
HERE’S WHAT IT TAKES:
So many people start a new diet or fitness program with deep-seated beliefs that they will fail, that they are unable to lose weight, that they are weak willed and aren’t cut out for exercise….
Well guess what, they’re right.
Before you make a big commitment to yourself or some program, spend some time seriously working with your mind to make sure you believe that you can, and want to, succeed.
2. Don’t Quit – No Matter What!
Guess what fit and healthy people do? They make working out a habit, it becomes a part of who they are.
If they get injured, they find out why, they find another way, they create what they want despite setbacks.
3. Find A Good Coach!
So many people go it alone, they develop pain or injury, or hit a plateau, and fall off the wagon, only to watch the results they want slip further away.
Don’t let this be you.
The best always have a coach, they take their time in finding the right one, they listen and do what’s suggested because they trust their coach, and they can see and feel the results coming.
4. Eat Better, Habitually!
Because… you can’t out-train a bad diet.
A bad diet will mess with your head, your insides, and no matter what you look like on the outside, you will feel like a stuffed sausage on the inside.
Build habits – I suggest sticking to a program like the Whole 30 for 30 days or more so that you force yourself to develop better food routines.
5. Be Specific!
So you want to “get in better shape”, huh? What the hell does that mean?
You’ve got to have a clear and compelling vision to get you moving on those days when temptation calls.
Pick exactly what you want to improve, exactly how much weight you want to lose, or gain, or what type of clothes you want to be fitting into…
pick a date.
Then map out a specific plan as to how you’re going to get there.
If you’re not sure how, see #3 above. Then work the plan, day in and day out.
These 5 Keys, along with a lot of blood sweat and tears, hopefully just sweat and tears, will get you where you want to go.
Now figure out what you want and go get it.
