Former NFL player turned CEO and founder of MusclePharm, Brad Pyatt announced a strategic partnership with bodybuilding and fitness icon Arnold Schwarzenegger in September of 2013. The goal was to create an exclusive line of new nutritional supplements developed by Arnold and MusclePharm’s world-renowned scientific team called, “The Arnold Series.” Originally launched with 8 different products spread across four categories (performance, power & strength, nutrient support and recovery), the Arnold Series has gone on to become an incredibly popular line of supplements, easily recognized by packaging that combines the bright Musclepharm green with the iconic silhouette of Arnold in one of his classic bodybuilding poses.
Iron Pack, Arnold by Musclepharm’s entry in the multivitamin category, is far more than the standard multivitamin you might find at the local drug store. This performance oriented pack contains 6 distinctly different formulations, each having their own special ingredients and focus. The nutrient complex is what you would consider your standard multivitamin but in addition to that there is a performance blend that has beta alanine, a fish oil blend, a joint support blend, a dessicated liver complex, and a cognitive support blend. While the Arnold Iron Pack is a little spendy ($72.99 MSRP for a 30 day supply), both the quantity and quality of the ingredients more than make up for the cost. Musclepharm did a great job using the higher quality versions for all of the minerals, as well as for vitamins E and B12, all of which the typical manufacturer might have cut costs with less valuable forms of these ingredients. The only negative thing we have to say about this great product is that they didn’t choose to include vitamin D in their formulation, so that hurt their overall score a little. All in all, if you are looking for a performance oriented multivitamin, multi nutrient pack, the Arnold Iron Pack by Musclepharm proved to be one of the highest ranked products we have reviewed in this category, so it is worth taking a look to see if it is right for you.
