Top 10 Throwback Tracks to Keep You Moving!

Good music can be the difference between a mediocre workout and a killer (in the best way) workout.

I find when a good ol’ throwback song comes on randomly I get super pumped and that’s sometimes all the motivation I need to get through those last reps or sets.

So here I present you with my top 10 FAVORITE throwback workout songs!

Plus, there’s a little somethin’ somethin’ for everybody.

Side note: I re-listened to all of the below songs while writing this post.

It’s an honestly awesome playlist.

The Throwback Workout Playlist 2017

1. Crazy B*tch – Buckcherry

Why not start off strong?

It’s not exactly OLD but I still consider it a throwback. It’s a rock jam that will get the blood pumping.

2. Be My Lover – La Bouche

Come on, you know you remember the “la da da dee la da da da” from the beginning.

Perfect song for some HIIT or cardio. It will be sure to keep you going.

3. Still Not a Player – Big Pun

This. Is. The. Jam. Throw this on when you’re starting off your workout or warming up. It’s mellow with a beat that will keep you singing along.

4. Save Tonight – Eagle Eye Cherry

A fast-paced catchy little jam that you probably forgot existed… until just now.

Add it to your playlist and when it comes on, I guarantee you’ll silently think to yourself “yessssss“.

5. Scatman – Scatman John

Another crazy throwback song that will most likely get stuck in your head.

Much like the “Be My Lover” song earlier in the list, it’s got some “be bops” that make it another perfect-for-cardio song.

6. Big Pimpin’ – Jay-Z

Because…who doesn’t want to feel like they’re “big pimpin'” at the gym?

Exactly. Enjoy.

7. Rhythm of the Night – Corona

Serious techno throwback but also seriously awesome.

Such a perfect old school electronic song to throw into your mix.

Love this one for long runs or stair master sessions but also equally as perfect for pumping some iron.

8. Gimme Some More – Busta Rhymes

I’ll never know the words to this song (other than the obvious lyrics) but this song puts me in the zone when I’m in the mood to lift heavy things.

9. Beautiful Life – Ace of Base

Well because no throwback playlist is complete without Ace of Base and their weird upbeat tunes.

Hello 90’s awesomeness!

10. Barely Breathing – Duncan Sheik

Throw on this jam when you’re winding down.

It’s a slower pace song but will make you super nostalgic and definitely keep you motivated.

Plus, you might actually be “barely breathing” by the end of your workout… hehehe.
