You want to look and feel STUNNING on wedding day.

And even when you’re a bridesmaid, you want to look amazing given all the photos being snapped…

especially if you’re on the prowl!

Here’s how to do it.

• Cardio

At least 6 months before the big day, get in the habit of doing at least 30 minutes of higher intensity cardio at least 5 days per week.

If you’re aiming to lose a significant amount of weight, start as early as you can and aim for 45-60 minutes of cardio.

I find I get the best results and that super-chiseled feeling when I choose something that engages my entire body – especially my torso – so I’m partial to elliptical, running, and swimming. And who says it has to be a bore? Check out some FUN ways to get moving!

• Weight Training You’ll want to incorporate weight training at least 3 months before wedding day.

There are four areas you’ll want to give special attention, depending on the style and fit of your dress.

• Upper arms
• Upper back and shoulders – Get rowing!
• Lower back
• Abs

If your gown is Mermaid Style (here’s some designs from or Sheath (here’s some designs from, you’ll want to add glutes and thighs to the mix.

Late to the game?

If you only have a month left, or are insanely busy, my friends and I swear by, Jillian Michaels – 30 Day Shred, which promises to deliver results in 20-minutes-per-day and can be done in front of your television.

You’ll want to murder her by the end of the workout, but you’ll be svelte as hell.

Six months prior to the wedding (and longer if aiming for significant weight-loss), get in the habit of consuming the right number of calories to lose or maintain your weight.

To get that sleek and toned look, two weeks before your wedding:

• Fill up on lean protein and fresh produce
• Limit carbs and high-fat dairy products
• Limit sodium and sugar
• Limit processed foods
• Hydrate!

I don’t recommend juice cleanses the week of your wedding.

A significant calorie deficit can put your body under added stress during an already stressful time.

To stay motivated and relaxed:

• Do yoga.
• Treat yourself to a massage, facial, and mani-pedi.
• Visualize. How you look walking down the aisle. How you look in that bikini on your honeymoon.

You can do this!!
